Attach the Cording to One Exterior Patchwork Panel

Note: Continue to use the zipper/cording foot when stitching the cording to the Panel.

a. Place the covered cording on the right side of one Exterior Patchwork Panel, positioning one end at the first Dot B. Matching the raw edges, pin the cording along the bottom edge, bringing the other end up to the second Dot B. Ease the cording around the gussets.

b. Begin sewing 3/4" (1.9 cm) below the first Dot B and stitch along the pinned edge until you are 3/4" (1.9 cm) from the second Dot B.

c. Use your seam ripper and unstitch the fabric cover on the cording to where you stopped stitching, 3/4" (1.9 cm) below the Dot B on both ends. Push the fabric out of the way and then cut the cording so that it is even with where you stopped stitching, 3/4" (1.9 cm) below Dot B on both ends. Then, refold the fabric cover, extending the ends into the seam allowance up to Dot B to finish.
